This is my entry for today because I’ve got an early day tomorrow - a bail review - my first one!! Actually it’s my first ever criminal thingy as an associate. CCAs (Court of Criminal Appeal) do not count because I never had to do anything particularly associatey for it. Was running around like a headless chicken today trying to get my head around not only a bail review, but arraignments, permission to appeals and a TRIAL next week! As a result I haven’t actually READ UP on how to do the bail review for tomorrow D:

Well at least I didn’t have to do listings or arrange for the prisoner to attend.

It’s at 10:15 so I think an 8:00 start will be sufficient for me to read up on how to do it =_=

I decided to try this out today. They are pretty easy to make XD

Wish I had brown thread though. Oh well.

I thought I’d have another crack at them.

So after months I’ve finally dusted off the sewing machine to (FINALLY!!!) finish off seaweed belt for Dan’s tamago nigiri
Unfortunately the machine kept screwing up on me so it’s not perfect ._.

I tried something new too - fluffy prawn tempura sushi XD
It was very trial and error, and the proportions are really wonky ._.

I didn’t do the belt or the rice (seaweed obi stolen from tamago and rice stolen from inari XD) for the tempura prawn, but eh.

Oh yeah and the cats only stand up momentarily then they lose interest in the food I hold above their heads. I have to take these photos in the daytime with sports mode on (WB adjusted to either cloudy or incandescent) otherwise all you’ll see are blurs DX. My K800i is a little slow in taking photos (even when I’ve held shutter button down and it has already focused) ._.

The Cat

Not just once but many times too even though I kept pushing away her head…
I had to snap this pic really fast (thus a bit blurry) before she actually started eating -_____-;;

But I think the fur balls will absolutely kill me.

Aiyee. It’s ridiculous how many hits this entry is getting (and how little everything else is getting!)
I feel like I should make some effort with this entry…especially since the photo isn’t even mine AND is hotlinked to boot.

I got the photo off google image search from a post on neatorama: “Top 15 Amazingly Fat Cats“.

According to Snopes, it’s a real cat too. See other photos of Riley (the cat) there. She was 2 years old and about 24 lbs at the time of the photo and has slimmed down a bit since then.

The best part is when they start holding hands (paws?) again (watch it and see). Looks like the darker otter kisses the other otter’s paw after they start holding hands again.

Ever since I’ve become a devoted fan of CuteOverload, whenever I see an animal I try to take a photo of it to maximise it’s Cute Potential. One of the Rules of Cuteness is…paw pads! (Which is why you will see lots of Sam and George paw pads).

Toyger George

I will be going adl-cbr tomorrow to visit Ray. On Friday we’ll be driving down to Sydney - we’ll eat at Testsuya’s on Saturday night. Should be fun.

Then on Sunday afternoon I’ll fly Syd-Melb to arrive in time for cousin’s wedding dinner banquet.

As a result I’ve had to look up the weather report for 4 different cities (so I know what clothes to pack). Argh.

Will be flying back to Adelaide around 17th. Have to start legal placement on the 19th.

Been spending a mint on airfares. Sigh.

Sam and George love to sleep on the chaise lounge in the formal living room. The room is hardly used so the cats pretty much have it to themselves. The lounge is by the front window and gets heaps of sun throughout the day. They also enjoy staring at the cars/pedestrians on the road outside. Oh, it’s a cat’s life, it is.

Sam (full name Samela, aka Sambo) is 6 years old, 1 year younger than George. As a result, she often gets bullied by George. Her demeanour is ladylike and gentle. She walks gracefully and looks quite prim most of the time. She likes to mew alot when she wants to be petted or wants food and generally makes alot of noise too. Her purring is pretty loud, one time when I was watching TV I thought someone else had fallen asleep and was snoring loudly!

Conversely, George very rarely makes any audible noise, and her way of running towards the kitchen when she thinks she’s about to be fed is pretty funny…especially when you see her tummy jiggling about XD

The reason why you’ll see George alot more than Sam is because Sam is so bleeding ladylike you hardly ever catch her in undignified poses. And I like undignified poses because they’re cuter, mmkay?

A flock of black ducks at mawson lakes. It’s a different species from the normal common mallard duck, seems skinnier than the plump mallards. And the black ducks only hang out with each other, too XD

(notice the lonely mallard in the bottom right corner? XD)
