I feel like I should make some effort with this entry…especially since the photo isn’t even mine AND is hotlinked to boot.
I got the photo off google image search from a post on neatorama: “Top 15 Amazingly Fat Cats“.
According to Snopes, it’s a real cat too. See other photos of Riley (the cat) there. She was 2 years old and about 24 lbs at the time of the photo and has slimmed down a bit since then.

For the Aussies out there looking to buy a Maine coon cat, Burke’s Backyard’s road tests the little critter and in the article lists breeders in Australia. There aren’t many.

Burke’s also mentioned that they enjoy hunting and thus will eat wildlife.
Pretty cats, nice cats, but some would cost more to feed if they stayed indoors(IE if you actually fed them their entire diet). Hehe, I guess it goes with their breed originating as a working cat(IE mouser).
