My insurance policy allows me to make a new pair of glasses every year for a negligible sum. Last year I went with frameless glasses.
Unfortunately, the inexperienced store assistant didn’t give me glasses with a high enough density index, so if you look at my glasses from the side, it REALLY LOOKS LIKE I’M WEARING COKE BOTTLES. Which I was not happy about.
So! This year I thought I’d go with the whole Hongkie acrylic frame look. I also made sure the lenses were appropriately thin :/
Which pair is better? I think #1 looks better in the photo, but IRL, it looks a bit weird and large. The purple colour doesn’t really stand out too. #2’s failing is the arms, which are too thin. Thicker would be nicer, but they didn’t have that option. #2 is actually blue on the front, backed by black plastic. But somehow it just comes through as black (oh wait, maybe I wasn’t wearing the right colour frame o.o).
Actually it would have been nice to have a deep red colour XD
I wanted a more…outstanding colour? Black is just too Hongkie :/

But those colours weren’t available, so oh well.
I also noticed my hair doesn’t look quite black in the photos. Is my hair black or dark brown? Or is the camera’s colour settings really screwed up, considering how the colour of the frames turned up…
I included a photo of Ray in glasses for good measure. Given the right frames, I think he’d look quite good in glasses. Guys always look more intelligent in glasses XD. He should wear dummy glasses to job interviews. But I guess he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore…
