Tutoring for those English conversation classes is quite fun. It’s done after classes are over, and there are normally a lot of kids still hanging around doing their extra-curricular activities. It seems like the Chinese orchestra club is stationed just outside my classroom. The strains of the Chinese flute (…and all those other traditional instruments) normally float into the room, making it all just emphasise the “asianess” of the atmosphere even though the tangible walls and architecture around us all yell out BRITISH!
Anyway, here’s a video of a boy playing the Chinese flute just outside.
The other day ray’s mom and her two friends came to visit him. It was very fun, going out with them. I also got to eat as much as I wanted without worrying about how much my meal costed.
At the end of the day, we went to an Lan Kwai Fong which is the expat-bar area in Central. It was quite packed. It probably also has the highest concentration of Westerners in the whole of Hong Kong.
Tomorrow morning I’ll be flying off to Singapore. I’ll be taking a bus straight away to KL. I’m going to be so tired. I hope I’ll be able to do *some* homework during my one-week mid semester holidays!
anyway, here’s the rest of the photos.
p.s. I bought a laptop from Fortress today. It’s the NEC Versa s3000. HKD10449 for 40 gigs hdd, 512+256mb ram, comes with port/charger stand, wireless, comes with flash card slots. 12″1 widescreen, no bluetooth. It has an international warranty, yay~. I wonder if it’s a good deal…
